Les candidatures pour le poste de Project Manager sont ouvertes pour le Projet Mokolo, subventionné par les ACP (Union européenne et le Goethe Institut.
Le poste est basé à Lagos, Nigeria. C'est un contrat qui débutera du 1er mai 2014 au 31 mars 2016.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - Project Manager for the "MOKOLO-Project" (Lagos)

The Mokolo platform has been created in 2012 with the aim to promote and support film and audiovisual sectors in Africa and its Diasporas by
- Connecting, promoting and supporting film and audiovisual professionals from or related to Africa and its diasporas;
- Promoting film and audiovisual content made by Africans, about Africa or related to Africa and its diasporas;
- Improving the accessibility and visibility of such content;
- Facilitating and promoting the use of existing and future web technologies by professionals and audiences through research, development and education;
- Providing one single viable and reliable access point for all of the above, which links existing initiatives, services and re-sources.

Mokolo is run by the Mokolo-Foundation which has its main office in Lagos/Nigeria. Goethe-Institut Nigeria is founding member of the Mokolo-Foundation and has secured funding from the European Union (Program ACP Cultures+) for the period of two years, starting from April 1, 2014.

In order to implement the foundations goal, Goethe-Institut Nigeria invites tenders for the strategic position of a Project Manager for the "MOKOLO-Project" Full-time as from 01.05.2014 (limited until 31.03.2016), based in La-gos on a local contract.]

The Mokolo-Project requires a suitably skilled and experienced person with the following responsibilities:
- Implementing the vision of the Mokolo-project in close collaboration with its founding partners
- Coordination of workload of the Mokolo-Foundation and its partners and associates (Goethe-Institut Nigeria, Villa ACT Senegal, ActivSpaces Cameroon, Awali Entertainment Limited Kenia, xm:lab Germany, Underdog Productions South Africa). This consists mainly in:
o Controlling and overseeing the administrative and financial management of the Mokolo project
o Recruiting staff (in accordance with Goethe-Institut Nigeria)
o Monitoring progress of the different implementation steps
o Control of outcomes and impact of the project in accordance with the Logical Framework and the indica-tors defined therein
o Overseeing external evaluations
o ensuring sustainability by developing and implement-ing a business plan and transferring tasks and respon-sibility to the Mokolo Foundation

The successful applicant will have:
- excellent organizational expertise
- outstanding leadership qualities
- above average knowledge of audiovisual policies on the Afri-can continent
- excellent international networks
- proven experience in financial management of EU co-funded projects
- sound knowledge of working in an international environment
- ability to speak and write fluently in English and French
- freedom to travel extensively on the African continent with-out visa issues
- working permit for Nigeria

S/he will be based at the foundation head quarter in Lagos, Nigeria under the direct control of Goethe-Institut Nigeria who will remain financially responsible for the project until the end of EU co-financing phase (31/3/2016).

Interested applicants should submit a letter of application motivating her/his suitability for the position, a Curriculum Vitae detailing expe-rience and skills and three contactable referees, of which at least one should be a member of one of the partner countries (Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Kenia).
