The Red Sea IFF continues to follow its dynamic progression, opening more and more to the rest of the world, and consequently supporting cinematographic projects from Asia, Africa, the MENA region and particularly Saudi Arabia..

At the end of a 3rd edition which kept all its promises, the organizers have already set the date for the next one. It is in fact scheduled between December 5 and 14, 2024, in Jeddah, at its new headquarters located in Al Balad.

The success of this 3rd edition which took place from November 30 to December 9, 2023, can be seen in the figures provided by the Organizing Committee. 125 films from 75 countries were selected, in different categories such as "Red Sea Competition; Shorts Competition; Festival Favorites; Arab Spectacular; International Spectacular; Naw Saudi New Cinema Shorts; Red Sea New Vision; Red Sea Families and Children ;Red Sea Series;

The jury was chaired by international director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann, and was responsible for making judicious choices for awarding the "Yusr" among the 17 feature films and 25 short films that were in competition.

The recently concluded third edition presented 125 films from 75 countries, with internationally renowned screenwriter, director and producer Baz Luhrmann (Elvis, Moulin Rouge!) at the head of the jury, with 17 feature films and 25 short films in competition. The festival and industry souk welcomed more than 5,000 delegates attending screenings and panels, with 938 companies in attendance to network and strike deals.

Following the success of the third edition last December, during which the festival celebrated exceptional cinema and fostered connections with the global industry, the Red Sea IFF will continue its growing initiatives throughout the year to support, fund and provide a platform for Saudi, African, Asian and global talents. Arab world as well as planning its highly anticipated fourth edition.

The festival, in its previous editions, has also hosted masterclasses and "In Conversations With", providing audiences with interviews and intimate sessions in addition to notable A-list attendees to date, including nominee Kaouther Ben Hania at the Oscars this year, Chris Hemsworth, Guy Ritchie, Luca Guadanino, Oliver Stone, Jason Statham, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Nadine Labaki, Spike Lee, Giuseppe Tornatore, Jackie Chan, Antonio Banderas, Will Smith, Sofia Vergara, Clive Owen, Baz Luhrmann, Michelle Williams, Maiwenn, Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Zoe Saldana, Anthony Mackie, Nicolas Cage, Adrien Brody, Andrew Garfield, Hillary Swank, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mélanie Laurent, Diane Kruger, Sharon Stone, Isabelle Adjani, Frieda Pinto, Catherine Deneuve, Johnny Depp and many others.


FILM SUBMISSIONS
We are now accepting film submissions for the fourth edition of the RedSeaIFF.
We look forward to receiving film submissions for the 2024 edition, welcoming films from Arab, Asian, and African filmmakers residing anywhere in the world.
