Joëlle ABOU CHABKÉ est une réalisatrice, monteuse, directrice de la photographie et preneur de son.
Elle est née au Liban. Après un master2 en cinéma documentaire à Paris 7 Diderot, elle travaille entre Beyrouth et Paris. A travers ses films, elle explore la condition humaine et la marginalisation dans nos sociétés modernes. Ourjouwan est son premier long métrage documentaire après plusieurs courts récompensés en festival, notamment par un Tanit d'argent aux JCC en 2017.
Son projet de film (OURJOUWAN, Réalisatrice) a été sélectionné à Chabaka, l'atelier de films en développement du Festival de Carthage - JCC 2021.

This film was created in 2009 as part of my bachelor in Audiovisual studies from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA).
It has participated in many festivals and received the third fiction prize at "International Film Festival of the Student" (FIFE) in Casablanca.
